Statement of Purpose: HOPE Center is a 48-year-old, 501(c)3 community-based non-profit agency focusing on Early Childhood Education and Care and Vocational Training for adults with developmental disabilities. We provide a high quality and nationally accredited service to children who are at-risk, children with developmental disabilities/delays and inner city children who are gifted. Many of the children we serve are from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Ongoing Projects: **(1) EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE, 3400 Elizabeth St, Denver. This program serves over 200 children ages 2½ - 8 years; many are from lower socio-economic backgrounds. This includes an Integrative Child Care program from 6:30 A.M to 6:00P.M. Our preschool programs include a year-round preschool for children with developmental disabilities/delays; a Colorado Preschool Program for children who are at-risk, e.g., they may have language delays or have other social-economic risk factors; and HOPE Academy for Gifted Children which offers preschool and kindergarten classes along with a 5-week math and science summer camp. ** ( 2) VOCATIONAL PROGRAM, 3475 Holly St, Denver. This program helps over 40 adults with developmental disabilities to maximize their independence through training in basic living skills and vocational training in our work activities to identify and develop appropriate skills and habits necessary to maximize their fullest potential.

 

 

Accomplishments: HOPE Center has a national accreditation from the Commission On Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and also has the highest rating of 4 Stars by Qualistar Early Learning.
