| Statement of Purpose: | The Alliance for Sustainable Colorado (the Alliance) was founded on the evidence that the long-term sustainability of the planet is at risk, solutions for which are hindered by the lack of constructive engagement between stakeholders. Activating collaboration between non-profits, government, business and academia on targeted sustainability issues is key to unraveling complex challenges and implementing effective solutions. |

| Accomplishments: | 1. Colorado legislation enacted as a result of Alliance for Sustainable Colorado initatives include: Law requiring new state-funded buildings to meet high performance green building standards; and law requiring that state-supported construction include energy-efficiency cost analyses in planning. 2. Creation of Colorado Alliance of Sustainable Business Associations. 3. Creation of the Alliance Center, multi-tenant nonprofit center in Denver serving 27 nonprofits. |
