Widely accepted as one of the country’s premier fundraising auctioneers, Gary has conducted benefit auctions in Colorado and across the country for 25 years. He’s a long-standing member of the Colorado Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). He has given seminars on benefit auctions at the NAA annual conference and is on the faculty of the World Wide College of Auctioneering, assisting aspiring and fellow auctioneers in the techniques of conducting successful benefit auctions.
Gary grew up in Kentucky where auctioneering is hardly considered a lost art form. After receiving a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Kentucky, followed by a master's in public administration from the University of Denver, and after several years working with troubled children and adults in the criminal justice system, Gary followed his childhood passion and studied the art of auctioneering at the Missouri Auction School in 1985. Since then Gary has helped raise millions of dollars for hundreds of worthy organizations. Last year alone, Gary conducted sixty-seven benefit auctions which altogether raised well over three-million dollars.
