WHAT IS BLACKTIE?

What is Blacktie?
Blacktie is a revolutionary new service that offers nonprofit organizations, including 501c3's, schools, churches and synagogues, and clubs such as Rotary and Kiwanis the ability to Communicate more effectively with their constituencies, form Community with other nonprofits, and to save time and money with event information and management.

What do you mean by that?
Simple, Blacktie has the following tools.

  • Sell tickets to your events online and process credit card payments. Or set up an RSVP list. There are NO extra or hidden charges.
  • Promote your Silent Auction items in advance and even take email bids resulting in higher bids and increased income.
  • Accept online donations on your behalf to provide more convenience for your donors.
  • Provide easy-to-use Email Blast to specific categories (such as Committee, Board, Donors).
  • Give you an e-newsletter template to save you printing and postage costs.
  • Allow you to create a colorful HTML invitation to your events and meetings.
  • Check dates on the BT centralized statewide Social Calendar helping you plan the best date for your special event.
  • Media coverage and a great PR/marketing tool. A Blacktie reporter will cover your event and post a feature story with digital pictures on the BT website, giving your guests the ability to send these pictures for free to anyone they know with a personal message.
  • Provide you with up to 5 digital pictures to use on your website, newsletter or annual reports.
  • Assist you with management of your guest list via our electronic RSVP; BT collects all the information you need and exports it back to you for use in a variety of ways, such as a master list of attendees in alpha order.
  • Print nametags (with logo) and table number at the touch of a button - no formatting headaches!
  • Provide seating chart software so you can quickly assign individuals to tables and move them around easily as needed. Automatically creates check in list.

  • Set up a bulletin board for people to exchange ideas or request help.

  • Upload your Press Releases. This serves as a resource for all.
  • Internal Task Calendar. Tell the computer about a task, a birthday or a meeting, put in the email addresses of who should be notified and when; Blacktie will automatically create an email
  • Would you like to SURVEY members online? Blacktie can now provide you with the tools to do so.
  • Post specific funding needs in our "Make the Difference" fund raising program
