From Promise to Prosperity
In 2017, The Women’s Foundation of Colorado celebrates 30 years as the only community foundation in our state focused on women and girls. Our Annual Luncheon supports women’s economic advancement and honors The Foundation’s legacy while raising vital funds for our next 30 years. Join more than 2,000 diverse supporters to power our research, advocacy, and grantmaking so that Colorado’s women and girls, of every background and identity, can move from promise to prosperity.
Special Guest, Academy Award Winning Actress Octavia Spencer
As the star of the iconic films Hidden Figures and The Help, Octavia Spencer has emerged as one of America’s most beloved and acclaimed actresses. She is best known for playing courageous and intelligent women who set an example by overcoming barriers to fulfill life’s promise and potential. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Octavia and her six siblings were raised by a single mother who worked as a maid and taught them that the only barriers they should have to overcome are the ones they place on themselves. Hear more of Octavia’s inspirational journey at our 2017 Annual Luncheon.
