COVA Conference Special Evening Session

Research on victim services can often be hard to find or difficult to interpret. This session will open with a presentation on best and emerging practices in the victim services field. Participants will learn about the latest research studies and how to use this information in their work with victim/survivors. Following the presentation, a panel of local researchers will discuss their research and its findings, their experience partnering with victim services organizations, and their future research interests. Time will be set aside for networking to provide participants - researchers and practitioners - an opportunity to meet one another and discuss shared research interests.

Session Objectives:

  • *Review the best and emerging practices in victim services research
  • *Be introduced to current research studies in Colorado
  • *Engage in dialogue with a panel of researchers about victim services, violence, and research in Colorado
  • *Build relationships for future peer learning and collaborative research projects

A dessert bar will be provided!
