Denver Stories offers a glimpse into the lives of Denver’s most intriguing personalities while toasting our vibrant community. Denver Stories is a jubilant evening punctuated by an original play inspired by the life of the honoree. Written by Curious Artistic Company Member Josh Hartwell, the play is composed in Curious’ trademark Denver Stories style—a lighthearted yet poignant approach to storytelling. The original work will be performed by members of Curious’ Artistic Company of artists and additional artists from the Denver community. Since his youth spent playing basketball in North Denver, Steve Farber has consistently been a leader and a connector. Fortuitously dubbed by his high school classmates “the Governor”, Steve has lived his life in service to Denver and Colorado, a community builder and political activist. Responsible, at least in part, for a good portion of Denver’s skyline as well as a good portion of Democratic leaders from the state, Steve is a living legend. As President and Founding Partner at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Steve is delighted to be celebrating fifty years of the firm this year. From spearheading the Democratic National Convention in Denver in 2008 to representing the Denver Broncos on their new football stadium, it is no wonder he has been named “Most Powerful Person in Denver” by 5280 Magazine and “Businessperson of the Year” by the Rocky Mountain News in addition to countless other accolades.
