Description

Wheels for Meals

Rotary Club of Littleton is passionate about serving our seniors in Littleton, Colorado. The Wheels for Meals Benefit Banquet provides the perfect vehicle to rally all those in our community to contribute generously in helping to underwrite the permanent home for Nourish TLC Meals on Wheels — the organization that has served our city’s older adults well for over 50 years.

Nourish TLC Meals on Wheels

An independent nonprofit organization founded in 1968, the mission of TLC Meals on Wheels is to enrich the lives of seniors and others in the South Metro-Denver Area by providing nutritious meals and services that promote dignity, well-being, and independence.

The Nourish Community Campaign will provide funding for the organization’s first permanent home and expanded facilities needed to provide services and daily meals for over 500 senior neighbors.

Guest Speaker — Alan Mallory

Reaching New Heights Together
International Speaker, Author, Performance Coach and Rotarian
Climbing Mount Everest is considered one of mankind’s greatest feats of endurance.
In 2008, Alan Mallory and his family took on the challenge and became the first family of four to set foot on the summit. The grueling expedition to the top of the world’s highest peak is a journey filled with unparalleled physical and mental challenges and some of the roughest, most extreme conditions imaginable.

Alan has captured the adventure in his book, The Family that Conquered Everest, which highlights the lifestyle and family values that prepared the Mallory family for success. He holds a degree in engineering from Queen’s University and a master’s in psychology from Adler University, giving him a well-balanced approach to the outer and inner challenges we all face.
