Once you hit the top of the escalator at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center, you knew that the Beaux Arts Ball was going to be a special experience.

As you entered into the French themed cocktail reception, you were met with actors who strolled as if they were on the streets of Paris looking for a café to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. You were really transported to the time of Moulin Rouge and the environment came alive as you discovered all the different scenes that were taking place during the cocktail reception.

Once you entered the ballroom, you were once again taken to a place far away from the cold Denver evening. The tables were beautifully decorated and the ambience was electrifying. $1.3 million was raised by this event even before the auction had started. There was some friendly competition to see who could raise the most money, and the Provost-Farkas team was the winner, raising $415,000. The entertainment for the evening was courtesy of New York’s Le Clique troupe of 40 dancers, musicians and actors. Before dinner was served, can-can dancers took to the floor for a quick show. Le Clique presented an evocative mix of theatre, Cirque de Soleil and fantasy during the evening.

The evening's Grand Marshals were Kelly & KC Gallagher, Kristin & Don Provost, Kristin & Blair Richardson and Marcia & Dick Robinson. These people were honored for their commitment and dedication to National Jewish. To make things even more special for them, as you entered the cocktail reception there were painted portraits of each of them for people to look at.

Fur by Zandra Rhodes
Donated by Neiman Marcus, this mink coast designed by Zandra Rhodes would be great for these chilly Denver days.

Hurray for Hollywood…and Chopard
Donated by Hyde Park, the winning bidder received a His & Hers Chopard Elton John Chronograph time piece, the opportunity to attend Sir Elton John’s Annual Academy Awards Viewing Dinner and a two night stay at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Kentucky Derby: A Day at the Races

The Beaux Arts Ball is one of the most anticipated social events in Denver, as well as a major fundraiser for National Jewish Medical and Research Center — a nonsectarian, nonprofit hospital located right here in Denver. National Jewish is the #1 leader in respiratory, allergic and immune diseases, ranked by U.S. News & World Report for nine  consecutive years. National Jewish provides 10-15% of its gross clinical revenues for free and heavily subsidized care annually to patients who are unable to pay the full cost of their care. National Jewish is home to a fully accredited school (Kunsberg School) for chronically ill children too sick to be mainstreamed. For more information visit
