Thursday night, May 17, was the night for the young artists of Denver to shine as ArtReach hosted their art benefit to showcase these unique works.
The walls at the Ravens Nest Art Center were filled with imaginations and creativity of the children who are putting their talents to work. There were over 100 pieces of art that included everything from photographs, drawings, paintings and even masks that these young talented artists showed off.
To add to the art show there was also a sampling of margaritas, salsas and homemade guacamoles that were voted on for color, flavor and creative ingredients. The group Mistura Fina added to the atmosphere with jazz, blues and some modern music. Between the music and the margaritas, this made for some fun dancing.
The auction included such goodies as dinner certificates to Lodo Restaurant Group, Asian film festival, Pasquini's Restaurant and Comcast. The night could not have been better.
This event brought artists and the community together and introduced some future artists as well. ArtReach provides access to life-changing arts and cultural experience to people of all ages in need. ArtReach is the only organization in the Denver area that exists to ensure people of all ages who struggle with physical, mental, behavioral or severe economic challenges have an opportunity to experience arts and culture.
Every year ArtReach programs ensure that more than 70,000 individuals and families in our community have the opportunity to experience the arts. For more information on ArtReach you can check out their website at http://www.artreachdenver.org/ or call 303-433-2882.
