Many generous patrons joined the Gathering Place at The Downtown Aquarium for a relaxed evening of silent and live auction items, delicious food, and complimentary cocktails. The participants had exclusive access to aquarium exhibits and animals followed by local musician Sheryl Renee's exciting performance. The Gathering Place exists to support women and their children who are experiencing homelessness or poverty by providing a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency.
The Gathering Place is Denver's only daytime drop-in center for women and children who are experiencing homelessness and poverty in Denver. Their emergency support services provide immediate relief to women and children in distress. Women who are able to meet their immediate and urgent needs can then collect their inner resources and make positive life changes for themselves and their children. The Gathering Place provides programming and services to an average of 365 women and children every day.
