Gala Chairs Roselyn Saunders, and Goodwill Board Vice-Chair Carrie Mesch teamed up with Goodwill Industries of Denver at a fabulous kickoff party at the beautiful home of Scott Lynes to launch the much anticipated "Dancing for the Youth at Goodwill," which will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Marriott City Center.

The local celebrities who will be joining in the fun to dance for Goodwill youth programs are:

  • Realtor/Political Enthusiast - Juanita Chacon;
  • Author & Humanitarian - Michael Ditchfield;
  • Realtor & Community Volunteer - Judy Fahrenkrog;
  • Former Denver Bronco's Cheerleader - Lindsay McBride;
  • Make-up Genius - Michael Moore;
  • Delta Dental CEO - Kathryn Paul;
  • Relationship Manager, Wells Fargo - Jason Romero;
  • Developer - Brent Snyder;
  • VP of Marketing for Colorado Gambler, Advertising Sales, Villager - Sharon Sweeney;
  • Special Guest Dancer - Tracy Register, Miss Colorado International 2010 -
  • and (the surprise announcement of the evening), Kelly Brough, CEO of the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, will also be a celebrity dancer.

Kickoff party guests were asked to please bring a pair of gently-used party shoes to be bedazzled and used for décor at the upcoming gala.

On October 8th, over 800 guests, celebrity competitors and celebrity judges will come together for "Dancing for the Youth at Goodwill," modeled after ABC's popular prime-time program, "Dancing with the Stars." An idea developed by Roselyn Saunders, "Dancing for the Youth at Goodwill" will be a fun evening filled with food, lively music and a dance competition all in support of Goodwill's mission to support at-risk youth in Colorado.

The gala event will kick off with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a live auction. Then the contest begins — featuring local celebrities paired with professional dancers from Robert Nardozza's Colorado Dancesport Studio.

Celebrity judges for the evening are: Dance Queen Cleo Parker Robinson; DCPA legend Bob Garner; and Colorado Expression Founder Terry Vitale.

Proceeds from the gala event support Goodwill Industries of Denver and its youth services programs helping to reverse the cycle of poverty. These programs help 26,000 at-risk teens focus on their future and gain valuable skills they need to be successful in college, work and life.
