The 2012 "Are You Smarter Than A KIPPster?" signature fundraising event raised more than $80,000 in support of KIPP students working their way to and through college.  On April 5th, 275 guests including the board of directors, key donors, KIPP teachers, and KIPP students enjoyed a VIP reception, silent auction, live auction and trivia game competition at The Cable Center.

While corporate teams battled each other in the early rounds of trivia, the highlight of the evening came in the final rounds as students battled the winners of the corporate competition.   For the third consecutive year, the KIPPsters beat all corporate teams for the trophy and bragging rights.  Board member Jeff Walsh and advisory board member Andy Seth served as the live auctioneers, motivating the audience to bid on iconic vacation packages from Inspirato's Inspired Giving program as well as a Sonoma stay at MacArthur Place Inn and a private dining Experience from Colt & Gray restaurant in Denver.

KIPP Colorado Schools serves 802 students in Denver and is part of a national network of schools all working toward closing the achievement gap for underserved students.
