Guests could almost hear the calls of the rainforest, buzzing insects and exotic birds when stepping into the Wildlife Experience, the location of this year's Rainforest Rendezvous Annual Benefit Gala presented by Lutheran Family Services.

Providing services that heal, strengthen, and provide hope, Lutheran Family Services has been serving the Colorado community for 64 years. The evening’s “Eagles Wings” award recipients included the Distinguished Congregational Partner of the Year Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Littleton, the Distinguished Volunteer of the Year Keith LaShier, and Distinguished Corporate Partner of the Year The Broadmoor Hotel.

Sharing a story with those in attendance, Renee Broyles recounted a day at the hotel when a employee from the Sudan remarked to other employees complaining about a hard work day that “There are no ‘bad days’ in America,” a reminder to count our many blessings. The Broadmoor is a stellar employer of people in the community, contributing to the success of the Lutheran Family Services Refugee Resettlement program.
