It was an evening suited for gods and goddesses.. and Hercules himself.

The Colorado Neurology Institute presented True Strength: An Evening with Hercules on Saturday evening. Guests arrived at the  Palazzo Verdi, which was transformed into a Roman Empire, making for a perfect setting for this themed event. A silent auction was followed by a sit down dinner provided by Epicurean Catering, a live auction and the evening's program.

The Dawn Denzer Community Leader Award, named for the late Rocky Mountain News Society columnist, was presented to William and Leslie Vollbracht. The award was presented by the 2011  recipients, Dr. Richard and Mrs. Linda VG Kelley. Co-chairs Sarah Tomicich and Dean Mills followed with an impressive introduction of the evening's keynote speaker, actor Kevin Sorbo. Mr. Sorbo was the leading man in the hit television show Hercules. In the prime of his success, Sorbo experienced a series of strokes at the age of 38. Mr. Sorbo shared his very compelling story as well as his inspiring recovery during the program, reading from his book True Strength. The audience was captivated by his story.
