The Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast was abuzz with excitement as over 390 pieces of artwork were viewed by artists and parents alike during the annual art contest and celebration. From paintings to drawings, self-portraits to fantastical imagery, the imaginations of K-12 were laid out for all to see during the year's theme "How do you celebrate the joys of life?"

Honoring the staff of Aurora Mental Health Center was also a highlight of the evening with recent events this year that have been trying on both staff and student. Lauded for her public relations during the Aurora Movie Theater Shooting, Mara Kailin accepted her award and thanked her peers, stating that she was just a small part of a larger and wonderful organization that is Aurora Mental Health Center. In addition, Kirsten Anderson recieved recognition for all of her efforts.
