If there’s a woman in Denver who attracts more gal pals than a Nordstrom shoe sale, it’s Shery McDonald Galbreath. And Shery did her friends proud with a party in their honor at her lovely Cherry Hills Village home on June 8.
She dubbed it “Girlfriends are the Best Friends,” and if the inaugural run is any indication, Shery will be hosting these little soirees when she’s 95.
More than 125 of Shery’s buddies came, and it was a well-heeled crowd, to be sure. The number of Mercedes, Audis and BMWs in attendance made the road surrounding Shery’s house look like the Murray Motors lot.
Champagne and other libations flowed as seven Donna Baldwin models meandered among the poolside crowd. St. John Boutique, whose knit fashions have gone from sedate to sexy over the years, provided slinky fashions, jewelry and accessories.
Ten percent of all purchases made at the party were earmarked for Volunteers of America.
Shery, a consummate hostess, had as much fun at her party as her guests did. She turned her home into one big sorority house where the conversation and laughter was non-stop. When it comes to making her girlfriends comfortable, no one holds a candle to Shery.
