These sponsorships support adoption parties, sponsorship of a Child's adoption, famillies connecting for kids, and Wednesday's Child taping at NEWS4. "Children need all the help they can get in this world, and we are in a position to help. . . We have a soft spot for kids and their futures." The Denver Security Traders Association has contributed more than $110,000 to the Adoption Exchange over the past three years with proceeds from its annual charity golf tournament. Autogragphed artwork by Steve Martin was part of the silent auction. Judy Blume, Bill Cosby, Maya Angelou, and Barbara Bush were among the celebrites that donated autographed memoriabilia. Ron Zappolo of FOX31 and Nastassja Zappolo, steering committee member for the 2001 Fantasy Ball Decorative palm trees sat on each table. Designed by Julian Bradley at Creative Consultants. The Colorado Children's Chorale, conducted by Associate Director Mary Louise Burke. The children sang and performed a medley of tunes.
Executive Director Dr. Dixie van de Flier Davis recognized the hard work and dedication of all the chairs and steering committee for the Fantasy Ball Jill DiPasquale, left, Barb Grogan, Larry DiPasquale, and Dixie van de Flier Davis. Mrs. Grogan won the bid for dinner for 10, catered by Epicurean. She plans to use the dinner as a fundraiser for the Adoption Exchange.
