Emcee Dayle Cedars from 7News kicked off the program A variety of tempting food and wine was up for auction Kirk Byles and Lu Unger The Hard Rock Cafe donated a guitar autographed by the Goo Goo Dolls and Uncle Kracker
Guests dined on herb roasted chicken, followed by s'mores in a cup for a sweet treat Steve Strader, president of Go Automotive Group, gave introductory remarks and promised to keep to the time limit, "just like the presidential candidates did in their last debate." Safehouse Denver CEO Victoria McVicker and Carrie Wernecke look on as Cheryl Davis addresses the audience Cheryl Davis accepted the Carolyn Hamil-Henderson Memorial Award for her work with domestic violence offenders
Susan Noble presented her Community Impact Award to Karen Fox Wolfe Karen Fox Wolfe shared with the audience her experiences striving against domestic violence in her work with SafeHouse Denver, and thanked the many sponsors who support this important cause Auctioneer Adam Kevil kept the crowd laughing and bidding Bid numbers were raised many times during the evening
Dayle Cedars helps show off the framed Wayne Gretzky jersey up for auction Go Automotive donated a two-year lease on a 2013 Nissan Altima One of the most popular items of the evening, the Peyton Manning signed Bronco's helmet ended in a tied bid, but Adam Kevil had the solution - he had two helmets, so both bidders won the auction!
